Thoughts on WrestleMania 27

So the 27th installment is now in the can. Despite really trying, this WrestleMania did not live up to the hype. Maybe it's just that the show has been outstanding the last two-three years.

Anywhere, he's some random thoughts I Tweeted while watching...

Odd that Edge vs Del Rio opened the show. I though for sure we would have had a new champion. As I much as I like Edge, the wrong man won (IMHO).

Who would have thought two years ago that Cody Rhodes would ever score a victory at a WrestleMania?

8 man tag was a waste of time. Kofi got zero ring time...

Totally bummed about results from Lawler vs Cole. Since when can the GM overrule the ref?

Snookie showed some spunk, but this match should have featured more Zigglar vs Morrison. They had one spot in the match. Trish was on fire!

Sad they ran out of time and had to cut Sheamus vs Bryan. The U.S. Title match was bumped, yet they had time for Pee Wee Herman?!

Taker remains undefeated at 19-0, but seemed to run out of gas towards the end. Really unexpected submission finish...

Not sure what the gospel choir was doing in John Cena's entrance...he jokes about the Rock polishing his balls but includes a prayer by DMX?

It makes no sense to end the show with a non-wrestler standing in the ring, so Rock has to be planning a return....

Highlight of the night for me was the return of Jim Ross calling the action. Every match, ever move is made epic...NO ONE tells the story of the match better.

Will be interesting to see the aftermath on RAW...
