What a long night...
After over 8 hours waiting in line outside of a local WalMart, I am now the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii.
And let me tell you, it was a crazy experience.
But it was worth it. I met some really cool people and made some good friends in the process. It's amazing how waiting outside in the cold for hours can create such a strong bond between strangers. I was number 33 in line, pictured along with Albie (number 34, right) and Jonathan (middle).
After a night of impromptu card games and Mario Kart DS eight-way tournaments, we finally stood victorious and hoisted our Wiimotes into the air (in a Three "Wiikatears" pose for a camera phone).
So, just wanted to post that image here.
Rant Ravings will have the whole story and some pictures later.
But first, some sleep!
I want a review on Zelda!
I'm nowhere near brave enough to wait out in the cold... I'm #23 on the waiting list... I think #'s 1-15 have been filled.
Until then me and the wife have been dueling it out on the DS's and I've finished up playing Gears of War on the 360.
I wore my GameTap shirt from E3 today. :)
