While getting pulled over for speeding is already an embarrassing ordeal, imagine if one of Santa's elves was behind the traffic sting?
That's exactly what happened here in Orlando, but there's been heated discussions over an Orange County police decision to mix traditional characters associated with Christmas merriment with law enforcement:
"That's specifically why we didn't use Santa Claus," Ken Wyne of the Orange County Sheriff's Office said. "We didn't choose a nativity scene. We chose an elf. An elf is known for their impish behavior. If you're going to speed in Orange County, you never know who's going to be on the street corner."
The Orange County Sheriff's Office said they will continue to use similar decoys throughout the holiday season.
So elves are known for "impish" behavior? I thought they only made toys and cookies?!
Brian, I guess you know more than anyone embarassing it is to get pulled over for speeding. Or bumping the line.
