I WILL bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad.
O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.
-- Psalm 34:1-3
What does your life boast in?
Accomplishments? Talent? Recognition?
Surely, a self-centered, braggadocios lifestyle will ultimately lead to emptiness.
I'd rather focus all of my exaltation on the One who is bigger than my vaporous life.
I'd prefer to boast in the One who is larger than all my problems and situations.
Only when we focus our attention of Him will we truly find ourselves, alone with Him and face to face.
In The Message Bible's version of Psalm 34:1, it states, "I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise."
What a vivid picture! Blessing God every chance we have, no matter what we're dealing with.
That must be the ideal diet: a mouth stuffed with worship and a cardiovascular system winded from praising God.
Focus on God, and the Son will block out any circumstance or trial.
