This video has been making the rounds lately, and I finally got around to watching it yesterday and it is EYE OPENING! If you haven't seen it, take about 6 minutes and watch this.
In addition to her televison show and book club, Oprah has begun an online "church" or sorts featuring her brand of spiritual teachings, based on a curriculum from Eckhart Tolle, which is features bastardized teachings on Christianity.
Carrington Steele, author of the new expose' "Don't Drink The Kool-Aid," writes this in a press release from March 20th:
Who is this enlightened being, that was actually given the answers to the world’s every need and problem, and has passed it on to us to absorb in 309 pages? He tells us that at 29, at the point of suicide, he had a profound transformation and through the years, became a spiritual teacher. Now, according to Oprah, this gives him the credentials to tell us to suspend thought processes and to acknowledge our "painbody." In A New Earth, Tolle explains the necessity to transform, "A significant portion of the earth’s population will soon recognize, if they haven’t already done so, that humanity is now faced with a stark choice: Evolve or die." How’s that for a harmless book club study?
After reviewing the video, my good friend Micah Cating summary of Oprah's blindness was dead on (emphasis mine):
Someone needs to tell Oprah that God is a jealous God because He knows how awesome and powerful and Holy He is. So he becomes jealous when people put their trust and faith and life into other unworthy things. God is not jealous of us as Oprah says, He is jealous that our attention is not towards Him. If He knows He is the unmatchable God and the best thing in existence, it is ok to be jealous. But for us to be jealous is wrong, because we are flawed.
My hat's off to the boldness of the woman at 1:51 into the video that totally rejects this false teaching about there being many ways to God!
WOMAN: What about JESUS?
OPRAH: What ABOUT Jesus?
I urge my readers to circulate this around and wake Christians up who have absolutely no idea how dangerously clueless this woman is. She needs our prayers, yes. But we can't stand silent while this happens right under our noses.
