If the commercials weren't enough to freak you out, now the gay Quizno's oven has become an internet predator.
Enter ToastyTorpedo.com, and you will encounter the toasty tempter (burning with desire to make you the next "Scott)".
Every click of a "Turn Me On" button triggers a new sexually charged request from the eager bun baker:
"I want you to do something."
"We both enjoyed that."
"Ummmm...I'm waiting for it."
"Let's get toasty together."
"Don't be shy."
"Let's toast some Chibata..ummmm."
"Put it in me."
This sick appliance belong on a sex offender list.
Here's another thought. Since sex sells, why didn't Quizno's just make the oven a woman?
The commercial still would not have been appropriate, but it would be inside the confines of "normalcy".
Of course, we live in a society where normalcy is now passe'.
Just ask Miss California.

WARNING: LENGTHY RANT AHEAD
What was Quizno's thinking?
Can someone please explain the thought behind this to me?
I can forget the fact the commercial itself is really bizarre.
But the content is so offensive that I cringe everytime I see it.
And since I consider myself a normal viewer, here's a sample of what runs though my mind when viewing this ad:
OVEN: Scott, I want you to do something.
SCOTT (glances down at crotch): I'm not doing that again. It burned.
OVEN: We both enjoyed that.
So Scott was placing his genitals inside the oven?

What was he thinking?
In case you haven't heard...
There were several conservative character assassinations in a drive-by shooting during the White House Corespondent's Dinner.
Sarah Palin.
Michael Steele.
And Rush Limbaugh.
Always presidential, Obama lapped up the hate as comedian actress-turned-hate-spewer Wanda Sykes expressed hope that Rush Limbaugh's kidneys would fail.
And that Limbaugh was a terrorist on 9/11.

Today, Christians across the States are participating in the National Day of Prayer, an annual day set aside to petition the Throne for one central issue: His mercy on our country.
The National Day of Prayer Task Force further defines the event:
On their website, there's also a feature called 7x7, which is basically a prayer guide for 7 areas of need over one week: Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church and Family.
Over the last 20 years, Presidents have reverenced this event with honor. Though it had been a floating holiday since 1952, President Regan officially set the holiday on the first Thursday in May.
George W. Bush made the day a huge event at the White House, inviting Christian leaders to a ceremony in the East Room in the White House.
Our current President?
Not so much.

With the continuing decline of the economy, one fast food entity decided to bailout our wallets for 24 hours.
On April 22nd, Popeye's ran a special all-day deal, radically offering an eight piece chicken meal for only $4.99!
It sounded almost too good to be true, but Chipley and I decided that we would "cash in" on the payday for dinner.

I'm really excited that Pastor Dino Rizzo's new book, "Servolution: Starting a Church Revolution Through Serving," was released this weekend. It was launched at all Healing Place weekend services, and is also available through pretty much every major retailer.
Here's an excerpt summary from the back cover of the book:
Servolution is defined as a significant change in the course of history sparked by simple acts of kindness. This book is a challenge to churches, pastors, and believers everywhere to harness their faith and get down to the business of giving hope to a hurting world by starting a servolution.
What God is doing at Healing Place Church is far beyond anything its leaders ever imagined. Starting with just twelve people, they have served the poor and hurting in their community, and as the church has grown, the opportunities to serve have also increased. The accounts of how the church has responded to human tragedies like Hurricane Katrina and the September 11 attacks, and to the needs of thousands of people in their own community will inspire the reader.
No matter what size the church, there is a place for them to serve the poor, and to roll up their sleeves and work to make it hard for people to die lost in their communities. And through strong relationships with others, we believe that churches together can do the same all over the world.
Through simply loving, caring, giving and embracing a hurting world, doors are opened to pour in God's love. That is what servolution is all about - a revolution ignited by serving those no one wants to serve, doing the outreaches that seem too difficult or too lowly, and loving those that feel like they are unlovable. It is serving people in the style of Jesus when he washed the feet of his disciples.
Servolution will make you laugh, make you cry, and above all it will make you ready to serve others like never before. And through the practical ideas and strategies in every chapter, you'll get a jump start on sparking your own servolution where you are.
I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.

Welcome once again to another installment of SPOT THE OBAMA.
Armed with my trusty iPhone camera, I roam the land documenting my encounters of "Obamania," along the way.
I do not seek out the mania, it comes to me.
All bearing some the likenesses of U.S. President No. 44, his wife, children or countless combinations.
These are my findings.
Location:
Some airport terminal newstand
Date: March 9, 2009
In the middle of the Phoenix airport, I went into random newstand (which will remain nameless, because I can't remember the name.) While I was looking at reading material, I stumbled into an elaborate shrine to Obama, sporting over 10 items:
