Well, that could have gone better.
A little over a week ago, a sharply divided nation voted to continue riding on the Obama gravy train all the way of the socialist and fiscal cliff.
America collectively begged, "Please sir, may I have some more?"
Well, bend over. This might pinch.
Obamacare is now the law of the land, and will take full effect in 2014. But we'll start paying for it in January.
There's no turning back now.
Maybe I was just being naive, but I actually thought Romney had a chance. I had already chosen my fantasy cabinet for the future Romney/Ryan administration.
Heck, I had already dismissed the Affordable Care Act, since it was going to be repealed and eliminated.
Or not.
As I watched the footage of Obama's acceptance rally, I was disgusted by all the ignorant jackanapes hopping around, waving and shouting in a drunken stupor. Gay men were flamboyantly embracing. Black parents proudly hoisted their kids in the air, as if some major victory for civil rights had just occurred.
It is America, after all. The land of the free, and the home of the morons.
And I thought, "Good for you." You people asked for more Obama, and you're gonna get all the Obama you wanted. I watched them lap up the inane ramblings of a vindicated and vindictive man, and I felt pity for them.
They have no clue about the utter destruction approaching on the horizon. They are blinded to the red, white, and blue blood stains dripping off the very hands they are using to wave their little flags.
I could almost feel a brief shudder in the Unknown Soldier's tomb.
From the beginning, I knew this election was going to be an indication of just how much time America has left. If God was going to allow America to experience a spiritual revival of freedom and prosperity, then Obama would lose.
But if America is on the descent, Obama would be re-elected to finish the job on our freedoms.
The verdict is in: It's getting very late for the United States.
A caller to Glenn Beck the next morning said that she thought the election was so decisive because it was God revealing Himself as in control, and that things are going according to His plan. And I think she may be onto something.
Maybe the results were not so much a referendum on America, but a reminder of God's sovereignty.
Perhaps Tuesday night should have brought us comfort and peace, knowing that ultimately we are not subject to the powers in this world. If His eye is on the sparrow...
The most frustgrating thing was when all of the talking heads started dumping on Romeny for being a moderate Republican, that he was too establishment, and that's why we lost.
Are you bloody kidding me? YOU were the ones that pushed for Romney! YOU were the ones wringing your hands declaring Romney was the only one in the primary that could win! Not Newt! Not Santorum! Not Cain! Not Bachmann!
And yes I mean YOU, Bill Kristol, Charles Krauthammer, Karl Rove, and even (sadly) Brit Hume.
So, what's next for us? We can look ahead to 2014 to the midterm elections. Or 2016.
Not that we'll make that it far.
Maybe instead, we should be looking up for our redemption, which is rapidly drawing nigh.
I believe God is going to use this to wake up the sleeping Christians in our country. You know, the ones who are comfortable in their own little bubble, caught up in their mundane yet satisfying schedules. Knowing nothing but the daily grind of the rat race. We've all been there before, hitting the snooze on reality anytime our nap of blissful ignorance was interrupted.
No more. No longer. Pop goes the bubble.
Now, we're at the point of no return, which is actually where God wants to be in the first place. HE wants to be our ONLY solution...our GPS in the pit of dispair.
There can be no doubt, we are living in the end of the age, and it's time to remove our heads from the dirt and set our minds on things above.
For Obama's first term, I meticulously documented the hollow character of our first post-partisan president.
For his next term, I will document relentlessly to prove that I was right.
It's time to stop praying for the restoration of our country and more that "Thy kingdom would come."
Behold my friends, He is making ALL things NEW, right in front of our very eyes.
We just have to take the blinders off.
P.S. Remember when Rham Emmanuel advocated never wasting a crisis?
Yahweh agrees.
