Update on Dad

The cry of my heart is to love You more / To live with the touch of Your hand / Stronger each day / Show me Your ways -- Russel Fragar
One month ago Tuesday, Mom returned home to find Dad slumped over in his chair, laboring to breath. Fluid from his lungs was suffocating him, because his heart was too weak to pump it out.
She raced him to the ER, when (after a thorough examination of Dad) the cardiologist informed us that if Mom had found him three hours later than when she did, he would have been dead on the floor.
But of course, we all know the rest of the story.
Mighty Yehovah stepped into the situation and changed everything.
And a lot can change in 30 days!
This past weekend, those same lungs that were drowning in fluid were now breathing crisp, mountain air on a fishing boat in Heber Springs, AR.
Next up, Dad heads back to New Orleans for his 30 day check-up on the 21st. They'll want to see if / how much the medicines have made his heart stronger.
Prayer point: Once again, the magic number is 40 percent. If that's the case, then he can live solely on the medicines. But anything less and they will examine other options like installing a pacemaker.
Now one month removed, and as "normal" begins to phase in, we give all praise and credit to God for these miracles, and we never want to forget where we've been or what He has brought our family through! He has done great things! Bless His holy Name!
